Sharon Leach was born in Kingston, Jamaica, where she lives and works as a columnist and freelance feature writer for the Jamaica Observer, as well as editor for Bookends, the newspaper’s weekly literary arts supplement. Also a fiction writer, her stories have also been anthologized in various journals, including Kunapipi, Journal of Postcolonial Writing; Iron Balloons: Fiction from Jamaica’s Calabash Writer’s Workshop; and Blue Latitudes: An Anthology of Caribbean Women Fiction Writers. Her short fiction has also appeared in the Jamaica Journal, Caribbean Writing Today, and Calabash: A Journal of Arts and Letters Her essays have also appeared in Air Jamaica’s Skywritings magazine and The Caribbean Voice newspaper. What You Can’t Tell Him, her first book, a short story collection, was published in 2006. She is currently at work on another.
