Ibeji é um duplo. São meninos, um do sexo feminino outro do sexo masculino, muito parecidos um com o outro. A obra faz referência e também reverência às brincadeiras e ao espírito lúdico das crianças espalhadas pelo mundo.
Ibeji are the spirit of twins. They are children, one female and the other male, but very similar to each other. The work references and reveres the jokes and playful spirit of children around the world.

Who is Sergio Soares?

Sérgio Soares is a sculptor and visual artist from Salvador da Bahia,Brazil. Sérgio is inspired by his personal relationships with the orishas, particularly his tutelary diety, Ochoosi. His work has been exhibited in major galleries in Brazil. His work is also on exhibit as part of the permanent collection in the Museu Afro-Brasil, in São Paulo.
