“Geri Allen Quartet” was probably the most influential jazz show of my life and Ravi Coltrane seemed to encompass the whole universe with his music. When he blew I heard the creation and destruction of the whole universe and I felt I would burst out of my skin, torn between this world and the glimpse I was getting of another one.
