“Thad Jones” was drawn while listening to the Village Vanguard Orchestra play “All of Me”. I was trying to capture John Mosca’s epic trombone solo and simultaneously the whole sound of the big band and curiously enough it ended up looking like a huge group of wild musicians!

Who is Meera Dugal?
Meera Dugal is a rising junior at New York University pursuing her interests in anthropology, studio art, and African expressive cultures. Born and raised in South Carolina, she has been painting and drawing her whole life and discovered her insatiable passion for jazz after coming to New York. She hopes to someday work in the field of artistic and musical outreach.
