Esta obra é uma releitura do orixá Exu. As sete chaves presentes na peça apontam para os sete caminhos e sete movimentos da divindade, que divide com seu irmão, Ogum, o domínio das ruas.

This work is a representation of the orisha, Exu. The seven keys represent the seven paths and seven movements of the divinity that he shares, in the domain of the roads, with his brother, Ogun.

Who is Sergio Soares?

Sérgio Soares is a sculptor and visual artist from Salvador da Bahia,Brazil. Sérgio is inspired by his personal relationships with the orishas, particularly his tutelary diety, Ochoosi. His work has been exhibited in major galleries in Brazil. His work is also on exhibit as part of the permanent collection in the Museu Afro-Brasil, in São Paulo.
